Tim ended his four year appointment as District Superintendent at the end of June 2001 and began as Pastor to First United Methodist Church, July 1, 2001. This is a joyous homecoming as Tim served as Director of Youth Ministries at First Church in the 1980's! His past appointments include the Judith Basin Parish, Sidney, and Billings' Evangelical UMC. Besides his gifts and graces in ministry, Tim is a first rate musician and gardener, and enjoys hiking and fishing. Pastor Tim and his wife, Marjie, have three grown children: Kristen, Melissa, and Joel. |

Teresa Harrington
Children's Ministries

Contact Teresa Harrington |
|
Teresa began her working career as an engineer -- now she designs a busy, well-focused Children's Ministry at Billings First! Her creation of the Great Journey Sunday School Workshop for children is especially exciting. Originally from Arkansas, Teresa and her husband Scott have two teenage boys and, of course, a packed schedule. |
Kelly Copeland
Office Manager

Contact Kelly Copeland |
|
Kelly started at BFUMC in October of 2006. Before BFUMC she worked in news and commercial production at KULR-8 TV. Her graphic design and artistic ability is plainly evident in the very attractive Weekly Messenger and Sunday bulletin.
Kelly grew up on a ranch about three miles outside Absarokee, MT, and went to college at MSU Bozeman. She and her husband, Ron, a Missoula man, have been married since 1990. Surprisingly there is no Cat-Griz rivalry between the two. Their favorite pet is a little gray kitty named Sammie. She loves music and often sings on the Praise & Worship Team. Kelly likes to sketch, scrap book, and watch old movies with her husband.
Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me." One of the best things Kelly enjoys about being at BFUMC is the wonderful and loving people who have a great heart for ministering to everyone.

Joyce is a Billings native with a deep understanding of local history. She has authored several books and articles, guides tours at Pompey's Pillar National Monument, and presents an interactive performance on the history of Sacajewea, Lewis and Clark's Indian guide. Joyce oversaw the historical records of BFUMC for many years, and when asked about her own personal history at Billings First, she says she's been a member "forever!".
Besides serving as a Stephen Leader since 1996, Joyce directs three bell and chime choirs, and teaches in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She holds both a B.S. and M.S. from Montana State University in Elementary Education.

Dave Armstrongr
Parish Administrator

Contact Dave Armstrong |
|
Dave has belonged to BFUMC for 50+ years. He and his wife, Marie, have 3 children (Abby, Adam, Annie) and 3 grandchildren. Dave retired from the US Navy as a Master Chief and then spent 11 years working with the Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch. His degree in Business Administration/Accounting is certainly put to good use keeping things on track at First Church.
Dave likes to golf, and his favorite Bible verse is John 1:14-18. "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law as given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."

Randy began his ministry here in July of 1995. He is creative and proficient at the piano and FUMC's Wood Memorial Pipe organ, a 40 rank Schantz instrument that was installed in 1975. Randy works with worship planning teams, guiding spiritual and aesthetic aspects of the worship experience. In his (very little) free time, Randy spends time with his wife Sandi, son Josh, and loves to cook.
I am no longer my own, but thine. Put me to what you will. Rank me with whom you will. Put me to doing; put me to suffering. Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee. Let me be full. Or let me be empty. Let me have all things. Or let me have nothing. I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal. Amen
